Here is a blog of a guy that set a goal of reaching $1,000,000 by the time he was 35. He doesn't follow our rules but I thought it might help some here because of his articles. He has been publishing online since Dec 2006 and details his progress.

Hi Blondie,

Thanks for pointing that blog out.

I think I have run across it before in my search for other Doublers out there.

Regards,

I figured that he has decent info, even if it is a Canadian blog. In addition, it is someone that has been slogging along toward his goal for 3+ years so it might encourage others to see that steady progress can be made over the long term.

One thing I think he does that is a good idea is having a long term goal and also having clear short term goals. He posts his goals for the coming year on his blog so that his followers can see how he is progressing against both goals.

Very good site.

This couple are both on professional salaries but spend frugally and save /invest a lot.

I am in a similar situation myself, my partner always keeps an eye on the best savings accounts our money should be placed in. We both work full-time but earn about 70% of what this couple do (with current exchange rate).

We are probably 10-20 years behind these guys though! We hope to buy a house this year and sell our apartment, so I guess until the mortgage is paid off, we will be in negative worth! Smile

But I keep all that stuff separate from my Doubling project, which for me is income generated by 'internet marketing'.

Very interesting though, having your net-worth figure as a goal.
